There is also a workflow benefit that is easy to miss. When every tool has a fixed place on the mower, crews waste less time deciding where something is, where it was set down, or whether someone else took it. That kind of order helps the day move better, especially when more than one operator touches the same equipment.
The blower rack is the most eye-catching part of the setup, and it is also one of the most practical. Main Street Mower had already sold similar racks for trailers for years. For this build, the shop adapted that idea to mount on the mower's roll bar.
Most of the rack is made from welded and bent steel. That matters because simple steel construction usually holds up better than light, bolt-heavy assemblies. A base plate lets the rack height adjust to fit different backpack blowers, including the STIHL BR 430, BR 600, and BR 800. On the mower shown, the fit matches the STIHL BR 600 gas-powered backpack blower.
The locking point is also straightforward. The blower secures at the handle with a hitch pin, and a padlock can replace that pin if theft protection matters on your jobs. Nothing about that setup feels overthought. It is plain, direct, and easy to use.
The day-to-day benefit is even better. Because the blower sits high on the mower, the operator can start it while standing. Fueling is easier for the same reason. Anyone who has filled a backpack blower down near ankle height knows how annoying that gets after a long day. Raising the machine to a comfortable level saves your back and makes routine tasks faster.
Safety was not ignored to make the mount work. On this Toro, the roll bar still stays fully functional with the blower rack in place. That is a big deal. A tool rack should never force you to give up a core safety feature. The fit on the Toro works especially well because the roll bar starts high enough for the mount to sit cleanly. The recommendation here was clear: buy a good extinguisher, not the cheapest unit you can find. A refillable, American-made fire extinguisher with a quick-release mount is a better match for commercial equipment. If you are going to spend the time mounting one on a mower, it makes sense to use hardware you trust.
