The Toro GrandStand® combines the speed and comfort of a zero-turn rider with the on-and-off ease of a wide area walk-behind creating a fast, maneuverable and more productive alternative. The HDX model provides increased efficiency with higher horsepower.

  • Check the hydraulic-fluid level.
After the first 50 hours
  • Change the hydraulic filters and hydraulic fluid.
After the first 100 hours
  • Check the wheel-lug nuts.
Before each use or daily
  • Check the safety-interlock system.
  • Check the engine-oil level.
  • Clean the air-intake screen (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
  • Test the parking brake.
  • Inspect the blades.
  • Clean under the mower deck.
Every 50 hours
  • Check the spark arrester (if equipped).
  • Check the tire pressure.
  • Check the hydraulic-fluid level.
Every 100 hours
  • Check the battery.
  • Check the clutch.
  • Check and clean the engine cooling fins and shrouds (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
  • Check the mower-deck belt(s).
Every 100 hours or yearly, whichever comes first
  • Clean the primary air filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
  • Replace or clean and gap the spark plug.
Every 250 hours
  • Check the valve clearance. Adjust if necessary.
Every 400 hours
  • Replace the fuel filter.
  • Check the transmission belt.
Every 400 hours or yearly, whichever comes first
  • Replace the primary air filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
Every 500 hours
  • Change the engine oil and filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
  • Adjust the caster-pivot bearing.
  • Change the hydraulic filters and hydraulic fluid.

  • Replace the safety air filter(more often in dirty or dusty conditions).

  • Replace the transmission belt.
Before storage
  • Paint chipped surfaces.

  • Grease the caster-wheel hubs.
  • Grease the motion controls.
  • Apply anti-seize compound to the cushion knobs.
  • Apply dielectric grease to the battery terminals.
